With four children, two years apart, you could imagine how many birthdays we’ve put together! And if I do the Math, we’ve probably hosted 30plus children’s birthday parties. For my very big clan, I am known as the Tita who likes to host and plan parties. Yes. That’s me! From a bridal to a baby shower, from a birthday to a wedding anniversary, you can can depend on me:)
So, let me try to write down the theme of the many DIY parties we’ve put together for the kids:
1) Barney 2) Bear theme 3) Thomas the Tank Engine 4) Summer with lots of inflatable pools in the garden 5) Bug’s Life 5) Art Attack 6) Team Titans (2x) 6) NBA with actual East vs West games! 7) Polka Dots 8) Gymboree Party 9) Toys Story 10) Cars 11) Dancing Princess 12) Slipper Party 13 ) Princess and their tiaras party 14) Star Wars 15) Marvel Flash Party (2x) 16) Salon Party 17) Survivor Race 18) Water Games 19) Beach Party 20) Safari with a trip to the zoo 21) Countless sleepovers
I guess when you think about it, these themes show a huge part of our children’s childhood. When our youngest, Gino, turned 8, I knew we had to do this theme involving a brand my husband and I grew up with. In the same fashion that it is played, this brand glues (yes it continues to do so) our four children together in hundreds of hours of play and imagination: LEGO. Who does not get all excited and warmed up with the mention of LEGO?
So here are some photos of Gino’s 8th Lego Birthday Party:)
The best prize for any mom who puts together a DIY birthday party for her children is the widest smile as seen in the photo above. It truly makes everything worth it. Birthdays only comes once a year, and well prepared and thought of celebrations are really one of best ways to make your kids feel extra special and loved.
Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
